Flights from Montreal to Bilbao, Spain (BIO) and Malaga, Spain (AGP) are now showing for similar prices, on similar dates, also on Delta / KLM / Air France.
To find these flights, start with one of the example Kayak searches to Madrid from above.
When you get to Kayak, hit the 'Change' button and change the destination city from Madrid to Bilbao (BIO) or Malaga (AGP).
Bilbao is in the northern part of Spain, near the border of France.
Malaga is in the very southern part of Spain, along the coast, near Gibraltar.

How to book this
1. Try searching for a multi-city flight using Google Flights, like this...
Montreal to Paris, and then Paris to Madrid, and then Madrid to Montreal
^^ start with the example search above. You can try substituting Bilbao or Malaga for Madrid. You can also experiment with different dates in October 2015 and May or June 2016.
2. When you see something you like, you *may* be able to click through from Google Flights to the Air France website or the Delta website for booking.
If it does not work, you may want to try taking the same dates and destinations, and plugging them into the home page of Air France.
Click on 'Multi-destination itinerary' when you get to AirFrance.ca to begin your search.
You will also need to click on 'Add an intinerary' at some point, which is a poorly worded way of adding another leg to your flight search.

Prices even cheaper today....seeing $540. Notice flights go thru Paris and you you can fly Air France as well as Delta. Is there any possible chance of an extended layover in Paris on way there or way back? Tks.

On Google Flights, if you try a multi-city search of...
Montreal - Paris June 5
Paris - Madrid June 14
Madrid - Montreal June 16
It's coming up as $568 CAD total. But when you click through to the Air France website, it may not work. Clicking through to Delta for $581 appears to work.
But if you take those dates and destinations and try on the Air France site directly, it might also work.
