Interjet has dropped the price of their non-stop flights from Montreal to Cancun, Mexico down to between $231 and $298 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The base price is $231 CAD roundtrip, and includes a personal item and carry-on (max 10 kg). A checked bag costs $68 CAD roundtrip.
If you're comfortable booking in Spanish, you can book these flights for even less ($198 CAD roundtrip).
Winter dates are available, all the way up to February 2020. There are even currently some dates around Christmas available!
Non-stop flights from Montreal to Mexico City are also available for $265 CAD roundtrip ($231 CAD if you book in Spanish).

How to find and book this deal
1. Go to the Interjet website
2. In the top right corner, change it to 'CA - English' or 'CA - French', to make sure you are on the $CAD version of the website.
3. Search for a flight from Montreal (YUL) to...

If you're comfortable booking in Spanish, you can book flights from Montreal to Cancun for $198 CAD roundtrip, or to Mexico City for $231 CAD roundtrip.

The cheapest prices should show up as $2,813 pesos for a roundtrip flight to Cancun.
When booked with a Canadian credit card, $2,813 pesos will work out to $198 CAD roundtrip based on today's exchange rate, and including the typical credit card foreign exchange fee.
If you use a credit card that does not charge foreign exchange fees, it will be even cheaper.
You could also open two browsers, and have one open to the English version of the Interjet website, and one open to the Spanish version, to help walk you through it.
NOTE: When you get to the 'Buyer/contact' page and it requires a 5 digit zip code, you can just use any zip code from Mexico. Such as: 77537 - a zip code in Cancun.

250$ tax incl roundtrip to Cancun last week of October 2019 booked! Best deal I've ever seen for a roundtrip direct flight from Montreal. Add 72$ for 1 piece of luggage roundtrip.
Ps: it also worked in spanish with my real adress: I just had to confirm with my bank that it wasn't a fraud attempt and it was fine :)
