The one way flight from Tokyo to Beijing is worth about $300 alone. You're essentially flying roundtrip from Montreal to Asia for another $250 on top of that.
What's even more incredible is that there are some prime travel dates available, including peak summer August travel, over Labour Day, and even some dates over Christmas.

Update 7/20 - These are back again today, for $599 CAD roundtrip including taxes. You can also substitute Hong Kong for Tokyo, Japan.
