American Airlines has dropped the price of their flights from Montreal to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil down to $664 CAD roundtrip including taxes.
The flights have 2 stops each way, in Philadelphia and Miami, or Charlotte and New York.
The overall travel time is still quite fast (15 to 17.5 hours each way).
Some flights have connections that are less than an hour.
At one point, Brazil was going to bring back their visa requirement for Canadians. But that has been delayed until at least April 2025.
UPDATE: Some cheap ones in December have become available for the first time ($667 CAD roundtrip), although the longest trip available is 10 days.
