Argentina is one my favourite countries. World's largest waterfall. Some of the world's largest glaciers. World class hiking (Patagonia) and wine (Mendoza). Amazing red rock / multi-colored landscapes in the north. Penguin colonies of over a million. Whales. Incredible food. Only one hour ahead of Toronto (no jet lag). Oh, and it's relatively inexpensive.
UPDATE - There are currently cheap flights from Montreal to Santiago, Chile available in March, April, May, June, September, October 2025 (And August for slightly more). To Buenos Aires, Argentina there are a few cheap ones in September & October 2025 Arajet now offers flights that connect through Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ).
